The xx pay tribute to hometown for ‘Say Something Loving’ Video. Through Alasdair McLellan-directed visual, the band embrace their nostalgic memories.
The xx is back with another music video for “Say Something Loving” from their latest album “I See You”, bringing the same feels and visual that created by the genius Alasdair McLellan for the trio. Filmed in their beloved hometown, the video shows editorial-like scene of London kids killing time in an arcade, making out and dancing in pink hazed room, showered with bright neon lights. While The xx performing in a blue background looking mesmerizing as ever, some random detail shots of London suburbs scenery and architecture that reminds us of “Home.”
It is basically a loved filled visual and the trio explains it in a brief instagram post, “We wanted to celebrate our hometown and revisit some of the places that remind us of our friendship, when we were growing up. We’re so happy to be back home and so excited to begin our Night + Day residency in Brixton this week!” (Text Saskia Chairunnisa)
