Editor’s Pick: George Keburia Fall 2018 RTW. The Georgia-based designer emits a masculine touch and accentuates each feminine pieces and creating a little bit of dramatic silhouette for his new collection.
Self-taught designer from Tbilisi, Georgia, George Keburia has recently unveiled his latest FW2018 collection of eponymous label featuring minimalistic characters, subtle undertones, polka dots and structured proportions. The pieces exude modernity and classicalism, evident in the use of tailored trousers and blazers and frilled dresses. Its masculine touch is what accentuates each feminine pieces and creating a little bit of dramatic silhouette.
The collection focuses on very subtle hues of beige, white and black that seem to gradate all the more beautifully with striking colors of capri blue, lemon yellow, apricot and baby pink. This in turn creates a rather beautiful play of serious, youth and play. The use of heavy and light fabrics showcases the collections’ classic yet functional appeal, creating a rather raw and genuine appeal towards the pieces when worn.Other notable features of the collection include pleats, folds and tulle, which all complement simple aesthetics of the collection. Such features also add more feminine and dramatic touch to each piece. Some of the striking details of the collection include the sculptured blazers, sleek crop tops, pleated skirts, dresses with oversized sleeves and cascading silhouettes that can easily transcend through the season.
