DEW Magazine #54 The Bloom Issue Pre-Spring 2025. The year has started with its usual rush–new beginnings, New Year resolutions, and the pressure of expectations. In this edition, we invite you to immerse yourself in the journey of becoming, embracing the process rather than seeking instant results.
Now that spring has finally come and we have gone past the early stages of the year, it is a reminder that growth is not something that comes instantly but is gradual and takes time. Spring symbolizes a new cycle, a gradual transformation. During this season, seeds grow into plants, flourishing to their fullest potential at their own pace. Spring offers us the opportunity to welcome new ideas and embrace growth, not by forcing change upon ourselves, but by nurturing what is already within.
As humans, we are inherently imperfect—just like plants, not every one of us will grow in the same way or at the same speed. Some plants sprout quickly, while others take their time, and that’s perfectly normal. Growth is not a competition; it’s a personal journey. Spring gently reminds us to slow down, trust the process, and allow ourselves to bloom in our own time.
Our 54th Spring Edition embraces the gradual nature of growth, both individually and collectively. We reflect on how hope and resilience emerge in challenging circumstances. Just as plants grow despite obstacles, humans have an incredible capacity to support one another and move forward. (Text Emily Naima)
