Daniëlle Cathari Unveils Long-Awaited Collaboration with Adidas. Kendal Jenner played a great role in the collection, where she alongside Hailey Baldwin modeled for the showcase.
Athleisure may be the biggest thing yet for the younger generations. The combination of both street and sports make it an interesting concept for youngsters to embrace both spirit. For Daniëlle Cathari, this meant a lot of experimentation and to get fun with a brand without losing its identity. 23-year old Amsterdam-based creative and up and coming designer recently collaborated with adidas originals, making this her debut collection at New York Fashion Week.
The collection was inspired by Kendall Jenner, where colorful tracksuits, sweatpants and jackets make up most of the pieces. A combination of streetwear and Kendall Jenner’s influence on athleisure is what makes this collection very new, contemporary and stands out. Kendal Jenner played a great role in the collection, where she alongside Hailey Baldwin modeled for the showcase.
Other revamps and contrasts for the collection were some elongated pants, oversized voluminous pants and crop tops, that helped define a new standard for streetwear. Moreover, the reconstructed and deconstructed features of each piece are what makes the collection very new.
For Daniëlle, the brand silhouetted beautifully onto the reconstructed features, where the Three Striped are seamed in the most unconventional parts of the garment. This include the chest parts, the sleeves, and the shoulders and even the legs, encircling pants. The reinvention of these staple classics is a great complement to the adidas original brand.
The first drop will launch on February 17 with each fashion week city receiving its own color of tracksuit. London will receive the yellow colorway, New York, the orange, Paris, the blue and finally Shanghai, the pink. A second drop will take place in April. Take a closer look at each piece below:
