Phoebe Philo cut Céline’s Fall 2013 lineup with a cooler eye, creating clean lines with just the right measure of detail. The colors Philo focused on for this collection varied from beige, grey, pastel pink, navy blue, dark green, and red/maroon. Most of the dresses worn down the runway were made of double-face wool and cashmere, luxurious and suddenly covetable, a testament to Philo’s design authority at the house. Skirts this season come with more femininity, fitted throughout the hips but flared, trumpet style, at the knees and paired with boxy turtleneck tops and calf-high booties. The coats were desirable as well. Crafted in Alpaca fur, pastel-colored coats with huge lapels and rounded shoulders looked cozy. To complete an indulgent way, Philo offered soft rectangles bags in both leather and the same woolen fabrics as the clothes, which the models held tight to their torsos. The show gave off a very elegant feel right from the beginning, ending it with satisfaction, it was impossible not to be seduced by her creation. (Text Teuku Ajie)
